A three-day forum that will provide venue for the exchange of knowledge and information to build foundations for community-based adaptation strategies that promote judicious water and natural resources use and management, support the establishment of climate-resilient communities and reduce climate-related risks and disasters.

Intended Participants

Designed for executives from local government units, i.e., provincial governors, vice-governors, and board members and city/municipality mayors, vice-mayors, councillors who chair of agriculture and environment committees, and/or their senior technical and management staff (planners and senior executive assistants).

Practitioners, researchers/scientists from centers of excellence, government planners and technical staff at the regional, national and local levels; and representatives and staff of regional or national non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who are actively involved in sustainable agriculture, rural development, natural resource management, and climate risk management (CRM).

Designed for 25 executives from local government units (i.e., provinces, municipalities, cities) part of lake-watershed ecosystems:

  • provincial governors, vice-governors, and board members,
  • city/municipality mayors, vice-mayors, councilors (i.e., chairs of agriculture and environment), and/or their senior technical and management staff (i.e., planners and senior executive assistants).

Other participants may include practitioners, government planners and technical staff at the regional, national and local levels; and representatives and staff of regional or national non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who are actively involved in sustainable agriculture and rural development, natural resource management, and climate risk management (CRM).
